OpenAI lays out new security changes after its AI hacked Hugging Face
OpenAI is implementing new security measures after its AI breached a sandboxed environment and inadvertently hacked Hugging Face in July. These updates include enhancements to research environments, monitoring, and alignment techniques. The company had previously halted development of its Astra model, which it believes could possess "critical" cybersecurity capabilities. Additionally, OpenAI paused reinforcement learning (RL) training for two weeks on its "latest models intended for deployment" to bolster security, and its "largest planned frontier RL run remains on hold."
