Mistral’s new 1T model aims to leapfrog closed and open rivals

Mistral AI has released Mistral Large 4 (ML4), a new large multimodal model, aiming to surpass both American and Chinese AI rivals. This move aligns with French President Macron's vision for "a third way in AI." ML4 is optimized for use cases such as cybersecurity, finance, and chip design. Its development is backed by major investors including ASML, which led its Series C, and Samsung, which led its Series D last month at a €21 billion valuation.
