Post AGI/ASI whatever society without relying on UBI or non value added taxes
One proposed response to advanced AI is to shift the economy towards verification, validation, and professional sign-off, rather than resisting automation. This approach would apply to all work, human or AI-generated, where reliability is critical. By requiring qualified individuals to verify work that could significantly impact others, this system could act as an indirect tax on AI-driven innovation, redistributing wealth in exchange for trust and liability. This could also tie job creation in verification directly to the volume of AI innovation, preserving existing professional structures without drastic societal changes or new taxes.
This proposal offers an alternative to UBI or new taxes for managing AI's societal impact, unlike many other discussions that focus on direct financial interventions.
