US government website used AI search tool (Qwen) from China that FBI said copied Anthropic
A U.S. government website reportedly utilized an AI search tool named Qwen, developed in China. This tool has drawn scrutiny as the FBI previously indicated that Qwen copied technology from Anthropic, a U.S.-based AI company. The use of a Chinese-developed AI tool, especially one with alleged intellectual property concerns, on a U.S. government platform raises questions regarding data security and technological integrity.
This report is the first to link a U.S. government website directly to the use of Qwen, an AI tool previously flagged by the FBI for allegedly copying Anthropic's technology.
