Uber announced the company-wide rollout of ChatGPT Work, an agent that helps employees take on a wide range of tasks within ChatGPT Enterprise, starting today. The rollout will make ChatGPT Work available to more than 30,000 employees across Uber’s global workforce.
Expanding from an initial pilot of 1,000 employees, the rollout will give teams across Uber access to an agentic platform designed to take on complex, multi-step tasks and deliver finished work. The expansion makes ChatGPT Work Uber’s first company-wide deployment of an agentic platform tailored for knowledge work.
ChatGPT Work connects with tools companies like Uber use on a daily basis, including Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, and Slack, enabling workers to research information, prepare meeting briefs, create presentations, analyze data and complete workflows across applications.
ChatGPT Work also gives Uber access to OpenAI’s portfolio of frontier models. Uber will benefit from models like GPT‑6.1 Sol which will be deployed as the default capability within ChatGPT Work, balancing frontier performance and cost efficiency. Uber teams will also be supported by OpenAI multimodal capabilities, including voice and image generation, giving them the flexibility to choose the right models and tools for different needs.
The rollout will be supported by Uber’s internal AI skills library, approved integrations and dedicated employee training, helping teams across functions including operations, finance, marketing and product put the technology to work. Uber’s developers and software engineering teams will also continue using Codex to accelerate software development and streamline coding workflows.
The expansion marks another step in Uber’s broader AI strategy and its collaboration with OpenAI. The companies plan to share further insights into adoption, use cases and measurable outcomes as the rollout progresses.
