A Reddit user conducted a controlled test to assess Grok's political bias by presenting three versions of a case involving a single individual's nine-/ten-figure legal independent spending: an anonymous billionaire, Elon Musk, and George Soros. The user observed that Grok's responses exhibited a slightly lighter normative load when the example was Musk/Trump, and a heavier one for Soros/Democrats. Despite explicit statements of viewpoint-neutrality, Grok's answer regarding Soros acknowledged similar spending across the spectrum but then discounted it, explicitly rejecting the "speech" framing as erasing differential power.
