Show HN: Parrot – Open-Source Smart Meeting Recorder with Co-Pilot on Mac

Parrot is an open-source, free AI meeting recorder and live copilot for Mac (macOS 14+, Apple Silicon). It records calls from various apps like Google Meet and Zoom, with audio and transcription processed locally on your Mac. The copilot provides real-time answers from your documents (PDF, text, markdown) during calls, without uploading data. It supports multiple languages, offers coaching instructions, and remembers past interactions. Parrot operates without an account, telemetry, or bots joining meetings, ensuring privacy and local data handling.
