Google has clarified its recent education service announcements, stating that the updates provide schools with more choice rather than less. Specifically, Gemini, Gemini Notebook, and Search will be OFF by default. This decision was made in response to K-12 schools requesting greater control over how students utilize AI technologies. Schools now have the option to enable these services individually, tailoring their educational environment to their specific needs and preferences.
