A user on reddit.com's dev_community forum raised concerns about authors using AI for book covers. They questioned whether it is "wrong" to use AI for the first visual impression of a book, suggesting it could make the book appear inauthentic. The user highlighted that writing is an expression and a form of art, implying that AI-generated covers might detract from this artistic integrity. They invited others to share their thoughts on the matter.
Okay, want to make sure I’m not tripping. But is using ai for a book cover not wrong? I mean the first thing you see of a book is the cover, and it’s ai. I feel like it makes the book seem inauthentic, especially because writing is an expression and can be used at art.
