A video of Claude animating different art styles inspired me, so I had Claude build a full app that turns any photo into a mosaic you can actually make

Inspired by a video of Claude animating various art styles, particularly a mosaic, a developer created a full application. This app transforms any photo into a mosaic that users can physically build. The project involved approximately 24,000 lines of TypeScript code and over 230 tests, utilizing technologies like React, Three.js, ΔE2000 colour matching, manifold-3d WASM for watertight STLs, and WebCodecs for MP4.

This project uniquely moves beyond AI-generated visuals to create a full application that enables physical construction, unlike typical AI art demonstrations.
