Some people seems to not get this: LLMs do not need to be the ASI themselves

Some individuals are skeptical about Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) because they believe Large Language Models (LLMs) cannot achieve it. However, the argument suggests that LLMs themselves do not need to be the ASI. Instead, a system more capable than humans could develop ASI, similar to how narrow super-intelligence can solve complex mathematical equations. Therefore, whether LLMs are considered capable of reaching ASI or not is ultimately irrelevant to its potential arrival.
