I tried to find out whether generative video could sustain a feature-length story. I accidentally made seven one-hour films.
A filmmaker embarked on a project to determine if generative video could sustain a feature-length narrative, inadvertently creating seven one-hour films. This endeavor became an accidental longitudinal experiment in AI filmmaking, as the technology evolved significantly during the production. Starting with Sora 2 and assembling early films in iMovie on an iPhone, the filmmaker later transitioned to Final Cut Pro and more elaborate AI workflows for subsequent films, highlighting the rapid advancements in generative video capabilities.
Unlike typical short-form generative video experiments, this project uniquely explores the technology's ability to sustain feature-length narratives, evolving from Sora 2 to more complex AI workflows.
