An AI system has been developed to generate personalized learning worksheets for PreK–Grade 5 children, covering subjects like math, ELA, and spelling. The creators faced significant challenges in ensuring age-appropriate difficulty, preventing AI hallucinations in content for kids, and producing output that teachers could use without extensive editing. This project highlights the complexities of applying AI to educational content for young learners.
Been working on a project that uses AI to generate/personalize learning worksheets for PreK–Grade 5 kids (math, ELA, spelling). Turned out to be a much harder problem than expected — age-appropriate difficulty calibration, avoiding hallucinated facts in kids' content, and making output actually usable by a teacher without heavy editing were the biggest challenges.
