YouTube will let you build your own algorithm with AI

YouTube is introducing a new feature called custom feeds, allowing users to describe their desired video recommendations in their own words. This aims to empower users to build a personalized algorithm, leveraging the vast "20 billion videos in the YouTube corpus." Emily Moxley, VP of Product Management for Viewer AI, highlighted this innovation ahead of the Made On YouTube event, emphasizing the platform's extensive content and the ability to discover a "treasure trove of topics."

Unlike previous recommendation systems, YouTube's custom feeds allow users to directly influence their algorithm by describing desired video content in their own words.
