OpenAI randomly charging my credit card after months of inactivity and without an active subscription
An OpenAI user reported three unauthorized charge attempts from "OpenAI OpCo LLC" on their credit card, despite having no active subscriptions or API credit purchases since September 2025. The charges were rejected because the user had previously blocked the card. The user's account is secured with a Google account, which has not been breached, leading them to question OpenAI's practices.
This report is among the first to detail unauthorized charges from OpenAI on inactive accounts, unlike previous issues that focused on subscription management or API usage.

Today I received 3 charge attempts from "OpenAI OpCo LLC", thankfully they were rejected by my bank because I blocked the credit card tied to my OpenAI account months ago and I have a new number.
I haven't subscribed to Plus or Pro since September 2025, neither have I purchased API credits, so what the hell is going on? My account can only be accessed with my Google account which has not been breached. Is openAI a fraud company now?
