The developer is seeking input from others on how they manage the extensive reading required when using AI-powered coding assistance.

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone else has been feeling this lately.

When I started coding, I feel like I was mostly reading code in relatively small chunks. But with tools like Claude Code, the way we work has changed quite a bit.

Now I find myself reading a lot of generated content: long specs, implementation plans, Markdown files, explanations, etc. Sometimes I find myself spending more time reading the specs and implementation plans generated by the agent than actually writing code.

And honestly, I'm starting to get tired of it.

Do you guys feel the same way?

Have any of you found a good way to deal with this? For example, converting specs/plans to audio and listening to them while walking, taking a break, etc.?

I'd be curious to hear how other people are handling the amount of reading that comes with AI coding tools
