Are there regulations on Al training data and intellectual property?
The discussion revolves around the lack of regulations concerning AI training data and intellectual property. Concerns are raised about AI models learning from human-created work, potentially leading to AI outputs competing with original creators. Key questions include whether laws should regulate AI companies' use of data for training, if creators should have rights to consent or compensation, and how to protect workers whose jobs might be displaced by AI. The aim is to encourage innovation while respecting human creativity and livelihoods.

I believe AI has a lot of potential, but I’m curious about the regulations surrounding how it’s developed.
AI models learn from human-created work, and their outputs can eventually compete with the people who created that work in the first place. Are there laws that regulate what AI companies can use for training? Should creators have the right to consent or receive compensation? And how should we protect workers whose jobs are displaced by AI?
I’m not against AI. I just wonder how we can encourage innovation while respecting human creativity and livelihoods. What do you think should change, if anything?
