Show HN: MultiMatte, a Promptable Image Background Removal Model

MultiMatte is a new promptable image background removal model introduced by Feyn Research. It allows users to specify an object with words, and the model then keeps that object while removing everything else from the image. Benchmarking shows MultiMatte significantly improves upon SAM 3 across twelve different splits, including DIS-VD, DAVIS-S, and COD10K-TE, with improvements ranging from +0.039 to +0.244 in S-measure.
