The best way to use chatGPT is broken on the app.
A user reports that their preferred method of using ChatGPT, which involves the read aloud function, is currently broken on the app. This feature allows them to speak into the text box, edit their input, and listen to spoken responses while multitasking. They find this method superior to real-time voice conversations due to the full control it offers over features, despite some minor text-to-speech glitches. They hope OpenAI will fix this issue.

My favorite way to use chatgpt is with the read aloud function. I can speak directly into the text box and take as long as I want to think edit and add more details. Unlike the real-time voice conversation it gives you full control over all the features. I listen to the spoken aloud responses while I'm working or doing other things that require my visual attention. The text to speech function has some glitches and strange artifacts but overall works extremely well.
Unfortunately on the app there is still a major bug that has never been fixed where when listening to the read aloud playback it will get a certain way through the response and then loop back on itself.
The web client doesn't have this issue but it's kind of clunky to use on mobile.
I really wish that open AI would fix this because in my opinion it is the best way to use their service.
