Anyworld, a self-hosted multiplayer text RPG where a local LLM is the Dungeon Master
Anyworld is a browser-based, self-hosted multiplayer text RPG where a local LLM acts as the Dungeon Master, inspired by AI Dungeon 2. The host runs the server and model via llama.cpp (or cloud APIs), while players join through a browser. It features true multiplayer resolution, real dice rolls handled by Python, custom scenarios, and party chat. The host can provide private DM guidance and set secret triggers, with Python managing probabilities in the background.
Unlike earlier AI Dungeon-inspired games, Anyworld offers true multiplayer resolution where the LLM resolves all player actions in a round together, rather than individually.
