Introducing Claude Haiku 5.5: the cheapest, fastest, and most capable small model we’ve ever released

Claude Haiku 5.5 has been introduced as the cheapest, fastest, and most capable small model released to date. It is, on average, 75% less expensive to run than Claude Haiku 4.5. For tasks under 100,000 tokens, which constitute about 90% of requests to the previous Haiku model, it costs 90% less per token. For longer tasks, the price is halved, making it a significantly more cost-effective option.

This release marks the first time Claude Haiku offers a 90% cost reduction per token for tasks under 100,000 tokens compared to its predecessor.
