Meta now lets AI agents handle the boring parts of WhatsApp Business setup

Meta has announced that AI agents can now set up and manage WhatsApp Business messaging, a service enabling companies to connect with customers via WhatsApp conversations. This expansion sees Meta extending its MCP servers to specifically help onboard businesses to WhatsApp. Other tech companies like PayPal, Stripe, GitHub, Notion, Slack, Salesforce, Atlassian, X, Google, and Microsoft also offer MCP servers for AI agent interaction with their services.

Unlike its previous MCP servers for ads and app configurations, Meta now offers one specifically for onboarding businesses to WhatsApp.
