Replacing vector databases with SQLite and SIMD hypervectors in under 1.2GB VRAM (Hillock)
Hillock, a new project, aims to replace vector databases using SQLite and SIMD hypervectors, operating under 1.2GB VRAM. Version 0.8 bit packs hypervectors into 157 uint64 integers, enabling CPU gating checks in under 0.01 milliseconds with hardware popcount instructions. It features an OpenAI compatible API server for integration with platforms like Open WebUI, AnythingLLM, or Obsidian, and is available on PyPI via "pip install hillock".
