Impuls-bought Claude Max. Now I have way more usage than I know what to do with. Help me spend it before I downgrade.
A Reddit user impulsively upgraded to Claude Max, now finding themselves with an abundance of unused capacity. Despite developing a chore app for their children, experimenting with a futures trading bot, and creating business documents and a website for their wife, they still have a significant amount of usage remaining. They are seeking ideas from the community on how to utilize their Claude Max subscription before considering a downgrade.

Confession time: I upgraded to Max on a whim. No real plan. Just a late night, a big idea, and a credit card.
Fast forward a few days and I’m barely making a dent on usage. I’ve built a chore and activity app for my kids. I’ve been tinkering with a futures trading bot. I’ve cranked out some business docs and a website for my wife. All great. Still a mountain of usage left.
My downgrade back to Pro kicks in soon, so the clock is ticking. I don’t want to waste it.
So I’m asking the community: what would you do with a few weeks of basically unlimited Claude?
A few things I’m curious about:
- Big projects that only make sense with a ton of runway
- Agentic or long-running tasks you’ve had luck with
- Fun or weird experiments you’d never burn Pro limits on
- Anything that saved you real time or made you real money
Bonus points if it’s something I can keep using after I’m back on Pro.
Hit me with your best ideas. I’ll report back on what I try!
