I am a CMU professor. This summer I taught a cohort of non-programmers to build and ship with Claude. 28 projects later, the fall cohort just started.
A CMU professor successfully taught a cohort of non-programmers to build and ship projects using Claude during the Vibe Coding Studio. The program, which included sessions on AI fundamentals and managing Claude as a collaborator, resulted in 28 completed projects by the August showcase. These projects ranged from a symmetry game for children to an interactive queueing theory simulator. A new fall cohort has just begun, continuing the initiative.
This report details a specific educational approach, unlike general announcements of AI courses, by showcasing 28 completed projects from non-programmers using Claude.
