I wanted my real city in Cities: Skylines 2. With Claude Code it turned into a free zoning map of 31 cities that players request on GitHub

A Cities: Skylines 2 player used Claude Code to develop a tool that converts OpenStreetMap data into game-compatible zoning maps. Initially created to map their own city, the project expanded to include 31 cities across 16 countries based on player requests on GitHub. Claude Code also helped optimize performance, reducing load times for large cities from 14 seconds to 1.2 seconds and memory usage from 950 MB to 125 MB by implementing vector tiles with MapLibre.
