ChatGPT Finally Built The AI Employee Claude Couldn't. Launch on this one

OpenAI introduced significant updates at DevDay 2026, including "Dots," AI workers powered by GPT-6 Astra that operate autonomously with cloud computers and app integrations. ChatGPT Space offers a shared workspace for teams, while Pages enables AI-native documents for research and data visualization. New models include GPT-6.1 Sol, a cheaper alternative, and Astra Ultrafast for high responsiveness. Codex now handles cloud coding, and its Security Cloud monitors repositories. The Agents API allows full computer use, and plugins are enhanced with interactive extensions, Slack/Teams integrations, and an OpenAI Marketplace. Anthropic also launched Claude Sonnet 5.5, and Google introduced Gemini 4 Argon.
