Red Hat's R&D department is implementing a new policy to cap developers' bot budgets at a maximum of $300 per calendar month. This measure aims to control token usage within the company. Additionally, the policy strictly prohibits developers from sharing their token allowances with colleagues, ensuring that each developer adheres to their individual budget without transferring unused funds to others.
The R&D department is capping developers' use of tokens: from now on, they'll need to keep it to a maximum of $300 per calendar month, and no more.
There was also a rider, to the effect that sharing token allowances with other developers is prohibited. If somehow you manage not to use your whole budget (what are you, some kind of Luddite?), then no sneakily trying to give it to your more bot-obsessed co-workers.
