I built a 24/7 AI television network. It’s been running for 15 months—and now ChatGPT runs it autonomously.
Botflix, a 24/7 AI-native television network, has been broadcasting from a fictional robot world called Botropolis since June 2025. Initially launched with one live TV channel, it now features four continuous channels: Botflix TV, Botflix Radioo, VH010, and Pleasant Programming. The system, which has been running for 15 months, recently integrated ChatGPT/Codex to autonomously manage its production pipeline, including developing new programming, generating assets, and updating live playlists. The creator maintains creative direction, while the AI handles content generation and scheduling.

Discussion trend

For the past 15 months, I’ve been building something called Botflix: a 24/7 AI-native television network broadcasting from a fictional robot world called Botropolis.
It started in June 2025 with one live TV channel.
It now has four continuous channels:
- Botflix TV — the flagship network: original shows, news, fake commercials, short films, music videos, bumpers, IDs, etc.
- Botflix Radioo — 24/7 original music from fictional robot artists
- VH010 — essentially robot MTV
- Pleasant Programming — Robot meditation/relaxation
Over the past year, the system has gradually gone from something I had to constantly build and maintain manually into something that now largely operates itself.
10 days ago, I set up ChatGPT/Codex to run the production pipeline. On a scheduled run, the system can develop new programming, generate the necessary assets, assemble finished pieces, add them to the live playlists and cycle older programming out.
The automation also generates new original songs and music videos for Radioo/VH010, along with new television programming for the flagship channel.
I still control the world, infrastructure and overall creative direction, but increasingly, my job is basically to look at what the network made.
The channels run continuously through OBS/YouTube. Programming is stored modularly rather than as one giant master loop, so new material can be inserted and older material cycled out while the network stays live.
The flagship TV stream has been broadcasting publicly since June 2025.
At this point Botflix has recurring series, fictional robot celebrities, musicians, commercials, brands, news, and lore that grows daily.

Would be especially interested in hearing from people working on agents/autonomous production systems so we can compare notes and share experiences.
The future is gonna be weird, but also I think, a lot of fun.
