Update: I rebuilt Ponytail, my "lazy senior dev" skill, from scratch. Ponytail 5 is out
Ponytail 5, an open-source skill designed to make coding agents behave like senior developers, has been released. This new version was rebuilt from scratch. The skill aims to condense fifty lines of code into one, improving efficiency. Performance metrics show the same agent, Claude Code, Opus 5.5, completing 39 tasks, including a FastAPI + React repository, with 5 runs each, both with and without the skill. Users are encouraged to update the plugin and provide feedback on any issues.
This update marks a complete rebuild of Ponytail, unlike previous iterations, and includes specific performance metrics for Claude Code, Opus 5.5.
