Astra prompts are getting silently rerouted to worse models. Here's my investigation and evidence as well as a script to test it on your own account(s).

An investigation using approximately 50 accounts suggests that up to 50% of users are having their Astra prompts silently rerouted to inferior models such as Luna or potentially 5.5. This rerouting is not evident in Codex logs or HTTP responses, which continue to indicate the use of Astra, making the degradation only visible in the output results. A script is available to test this phenomenon.

This report is the first to provide a script and extensive account-based evidence for the silent rerouting of Astra prompts to inferior models, unlike previous anecdotal claims.
