As AI gets better at sounding intelligent, will wisdom become harder to recognize?

One thing I've noticed lately: when people come across a thoughtful argument, an essay worth rereading, or a perspective with real nuance, the question that surfaces first is often, "Was this written by AI?"

I understand the suspicion. AI can now write polished language, argue coherently, and hold conversations that sound almost human. But it's made me wonder if we're watching the wrong thing.

Intelligence and wisdom were never the same. A text can be intelligent and still carry no judgment. It can inform us and leave us exactly as we were. It can answer the question we asked without ever touching the one buried underneath it.

As AI grows better at imitating intelligence, the harder task may be learning to see what it can't imitate — judgment, humility, character, the kind of understanding that only comes from having lived through something, not just read about it.

Whether that will make wisdom more valuable, or simply harder to find, I'm still not sure.
