While abstracting complexity or solving real problems with AI is valuable, a growing trend involves developers simply adding a UI to existing APIs or open-source repositories and then monetizing these "wrappers" through subscriptions. This practice is criticized as lazy monetization, especially when identical AI tools are freely available elsewhere, making it absurd to pay for such duplicated efforts.
