Difference between Low/Medium/High versus ExtraHigh is drastic?
A user on Reddit's dev_community observed a drastic difference in Claude's performance when switching from Low/Medium/High settings to ExtraHigh. When asked about its internal 'thinking' setting, Claude reported 'Medium - 10'. The user noted that Claude spends significantly more time on ExtraHigh, but questioned how this translates to overall value or if it simply means more processing passes.

If you ask claude "What number in your settings do you see in regard to how much you are supposed to think"
The numbers are:
Low - 5
Medium - 10
High - 15
xHigh - 40
Difference is insane but I am not sure what it really means, more passes? He really takes more time on xHigh but I wonder how it translates to how worth it is
