Had some issues with jumping from claude to codex

Since boosted 50% are coming to close now in cc and given just how good codex has been performing in recent times I have decided to switch to openai but I have some issues I am facing and it'd be great if someone can please help me out here -
- I tried migration from inbuilt the codex desktop app but it could only pull like few recent chats but not entire history of my work with cowork and claude code (have like 4-5 months of work conversation history it ignores). I have a lot of personal work done on my pc as in I don't push on GitHub that often since I use my projects mostly for my use but this also means everytime I will have to give context about all my projects to codex, is there a simpler way around this?
- I use a lot of financial plugins in claude code but I wanted to know from someone who has used codex for such tasks and maybe has some experience with claude's plugins (equity -research initiate for example) also for this for a comparison of how does codex hold its ground against cc?
- I had made a skill with claude which links the skill with my project in claude design now this will be tricky i guess because skill file I can give to codex but will codex be able to learn from the design system of claude? Maybe computer use with gpt and then it can learn from the design system? Any better options you guys can suggest?
