Meta and Apple team up to make Muse AI models run better on Macs

Meta and Apple are collaborating to enhance the performance of Muse AI models on Macs. Meta's new natively multimodal model, with 816 billion parameters, excels at complex tasks like software engineering and multi-step reasoning. Apple has also released a technical post about MLX, an array framework designed for machine learning tasks on Apple Silicon, alongside Muse Spark Open and two other open models.

This collaboration marks the first time Meta's Muse AI models are optimized for Apple's MLX framework, unlike previous models that ran less efficiently on Apple Silicon.
