The Pentagon now has its own version of ChatGPT and Grok

The Pentagon has launched its own versions of OpenAI’s ChatGPT and xAI’s Grok, providing 3 million civilian and military personnel with access to generative AI tools. These tools are tailored for "warfighter needs" and are part of a broader effort to accelerate work and gain an advantage without compromising security. This initiative also highlights the absence of Anthropic’s Claude model, following a dispute where Anthropic was labeled a supply-chain risk for insisting on safety guardrails rather than unrestricted use of its AI tools.
