Brain Computations and Principles; and AI (Edmund T. Rolls)

This is a new free book that you can download from the page. It is an update and expansion of 'Brain Computations and Connectivity' (2023). I recomend it to those interested in how the brain processes information without so much biological detail. There doesn't appear to be other books like these. Unfortunately it doesn't explore the role of dendritic computations in brain circuits.

In my opinion the brain is very different from the feedforward networks being scaled today and have reached dimishing returns even if they have surprising applications. I believe that some sort of architecture(s) resembling brain circuits is the path to the singularity.
