Salesforce and Nvidia’s new reasoning model is everything the AI labs should fear

Salesforce and Nvidia have unveiled Koa, a new reasoning AI model, at Salesforce's Dreamforce conference. Koa is Salesforce's first reasoning model, built upon Nvidia's open-weight Nemotron model. The companies collaborated to post-train Koa for sales, marketing, and customer support tasks. A key motivation for its development was the absence of a state-of-the-art, pre-trained American model with clear data provenance, unlike models such as Alibaba's Qwen.
