Anthropic’s IPO pitch includes a warning about human extinction

Anthropic, an AI company, has included a warning about human extinction in its IPO pitch, with current and former staff publicly stating that runaway AI could end humanity within a decade. Despite this, the company saw its revenue jump 12-fold to almost $4.6 billion last year. However, increased spending on computing power led to an operating loss of more than $8 billion, as operating expenses reached almost $13 billion.
