Cowork's "Only on this computer" option is removed
The "Only on this computer" option in Cowork is being removed, with users unable to start new tasks using this feature from October 6. While existing tasks will continue to function, new work on the computer will require the use of Claude Code. The change prompts questions about the pros and cons for current and future projects.

Hi all, just got this update today It came along with the following text: Tasks on this computer are being deprecated
This task still works, but tasks on this computer are no longer maintained. From October 6, you won’t be able to start new ones. For new work on this computer, use Claude Code.
____________________________ A few people were quite mad when they switched tasks to automatically run on Cloud 2 weeks ago and this workaround was found. Now it looks like it won't work anymore.
Any pros and cons to that? I'd be curious to learn how it affects your current & future Projects
