Besxar is building an orbital semiconductor factory, one SpaceX rocket at a time

Besxar is developing an orbital semiconductor factory, utilizing SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket boosters for prototyping. This initiative aims to overcome the limitations of current in-space manufacturing options, such as the International Space Station or specialized startups. By partnering with SpaceX, Besxar plans to conduct prototyping across a dozen flights, leveraging the Falcon 9's frequent round trips to and from Earth, which occurred 163 times last year and over 100 times this year.

This marks the first time a company has partnered with SpaceX to prototype an orbital factory using Falcon 9 boosters, unlike previous approaches relying on the ISS or specialized startups.
