Google is about to remove free access to Gemini Flash and Pro

Starting October 9th, Google will restrict free access to its Gemini AI models. Users on a free plan will be limited to the Flash Lite model, losing access to Gemini Flash and Pro. To use the standard Flash model, a $4.99/month Google AI Plus subscription will be required. This subscription itself is also being downgraded, as it will no longer include Gemini Pro. Subscribers will be notified via email about these changes.

Unlike previous offerings, Google's new policy restricts free users to Flash Lite and moves Gemini Pro access exclusively to a higher-tier subscription.
