PSA: deleting a ChatGPT chat doesn't delete the files you uploaded in it. They stay in your Library

ChatGPT now automatically saves all uploaded or created files, including documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and images, into a user's Library for later reuse. Deleting a chat does not remove these files from the Library. Files deleted from the Library are moved to a "Recently deleted" section and are permanently removed within 30 days, though users can opt for immediate permanent deletion. Neither ChatGPT's native delete function nor third-party tools like "AI Toolbox" affect files stored in the Library.

This report highlights a critical difference in file deletion behavior between ChatGPT chats and its new Library feature, unlike previous versions.
