I built a Git history visualizer with Claude Code

A developer created a Git history visualizer using Claude Code, allowing users to paste any public GitHub repository URL to view its commit history as an animation. The tool comes pre-loaded with twelve large histories, including Linux, Chromium, and TensorFlow, which open instantly without GitHub API requests. These histories are built by cloning the commit graph ahead of time, avoiding rate limits and source code downloads. Users can watch an entire history or focus on a single year.

Unlike other visualizers that rely on the GitHub API, this tool pre-clones commit graphs for instant loading of large repositories like Linux and TensorFlow, avoiding rate limits.
