How do you handle reviewing large amounts of AI-generated code?
A developer using Codex for AI-generated code notes the challenge of reviewing large volumes of code, sometimes hundreds or thousands of lines, produced rapidly by AI agents. The primary difficulty lies in keeping pace with the output and fully understanding the changes made. The developer seeks insights from others on how they manage this demanding code review process.
Unlike traditional code review, this post highlights the unique challenge of reviewing AI-generated code, which can involve hundreds or thousands of lines produced at a much faster pace.

I’ve been using Codex for development lately, and one thing I’ve started noticing is how tiring code review can get.
AI agents can generate a lot of code really fast, sometimes hundreds or even thousands of lines, The hard part for me is keeping up with it and actually understanding what changed
I’m curious how other developers handle this, especially if you use AI coding agents a lot.
- Do you review every change, or mainly focus on the important parts?
- Do you rely more on tests or other tools to verify the code?
- Do you ever feel like the AI is generating code faster than you can properly review it?
Or maybe this isn’t really an issue for you at all ,Curious to hear how you guys handle it.
