This move by Amazon might stem from concerns about potential issues with agentic commerce, such as Muse making incorrect orders, which Amazon would then have to resolve with both customers and vendors. Despite Muse's relatively low hallucination rates, Amazon may prefer to wait for further AI model improvements before fully embracing agent-driven commerce.

Unlike other AI agents that have faced restrictions, Amazon explicitly cited a violation of its Conditions of Use for blocking Meta's Muse.
