Show HN: Parsimony – an open-source benchmark for how much code AI models add

Parsimony is an open-source benchmark designed to measure the amount of code AI models add, addressing a gap in existing benchmarks that focus on solve rate and cost but overlook the impact of excess code on long-term codebase maintainability. This new benchmark helps evaluate how much code AI models generate, noting that models writing more code also tend to solve more tasks, with a Spearman correlation of 0.33–0.60 on boards with over 26 models.
