LLMs are making formal software verification feasible at a much larger scale

Claude successfully patched bugs and proved crash absence for 239 entry points across 123 OSS-Fuzz libraries. These proofs, operating on compiled RISC-V instructions, comprise about 180 million lines of Rocq, with a typical proof reaching 600,000 lines for binaries averaging 18,000 RISC-V instructions. The Rocq proof checker ensures correctness, minimizing manual review.
