Hi!

I bought the Pro plan about 1.5 weeks ago, but I'm a little disappointed - not with the results, but with the usage...

I'm working on a Python program using Claude with Opus 5 on High. About 4–5 days ago, I could ask Claude quite a lot of things before reaching the 5-hour limit. Usually, I would reach the limit after 3–4 hours of working.

But yesterday and today, things have been completely different. Yesterday, I sent just ONE prompt and it already used 50% of my limit. After my second prompt, Claude didn't even finish the answer, and I had to wait.

Today, I asked it to finish the previous answer, which used another 50%, and then I sent my second prompt... and again I reached the limit and have to wait.

So basically, during the last two days, I'm reaching 100% usage after only about 1–2 prompts....

I actually have some free time today to work on my project, so this is really frustrating because I'm basically just sitting here waiting instead of coding.

Has something changed with the usage limits recently? It was completely fine 4–5 days ago, and only during the last two days has it become this bad. Or could it be that my prompts/code are somehow more demanding?

And one more question for long-time users: How can I make my usage last longer? I'm mostly asking Claude to fix/debug parts of the code that it previously wrote, so nothing crazy. Should I use a different model? If so, will the results be significantly worse than Opus 5 on High?

Any tips would be appreciated!
